Looking for lunch near Kusatsu Station? scenes, on the 2nd floor of niwa+, serves lunch from 11:00 to 14:00 starting at 980 yen, then switches to ricotta pancakes in the afternoon. It works alone, with children, or for a meeting.

Lunch from 11:00, three minutes from the station

For lunch in Kusatsu, scenes is a 2-minute walk from the East Exit, on the 2nd floor of the niwa+ complex. Lunch runs 11:00-14:00, from Avocado on Toast at 980 yen to the hearty scenes Big Breakkie at 1,980 yen.

A salad & soup set is +390 yen, and a drink set takes 150 yen off any drink. Payment is cashless only.

Signature burger and pasta

The scenes Original Hamburger (1,680 yen) layers bacon and a fried egg. For pasta, choose Linguine Kale Cream (1,280 yen), Linguine Ortolana with Prosciutto (1,480 yen) or Pappardelle with Wagyu Beef Ragu (2,180 yen).

Egg Benedict with bacon and smoked salmon is 1,680 yen, and Shakshuka with free range egg and vegetables is 1,380 yen.

With children, alone, or for a meeting

A scenes Kids Breakkie (780 yen, drink included) makes lunch with children easy. There is terrace seating on the 2nd floor of niwa+, with free Wi-Fi and power outlets at the counter for solo meals or meetings.

For something lighter, there is a Cheese Chicken Hot Sandwich (980 yen), a Brunch Salad Bowl (880 yen) and a Home Made Organic Granola Bowl (780 yen).

Afternoon from 14:00

From 14:00 to 17:00 the menu changes to afternoon: ricotta pancakes (banana and honeycomb butter 1,380 yen / free range egg and bacon 1,680 yen / seasonal fruit 1,780 yen) and Okaberry's Acai Bowl (1,180 yen).

With any dessert, a set drink starts at 380 yen — ALLPRESS batch brew 380 yen, flat white 430 yen and more.

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free

The menu marks vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes. Avocado on Toast and the granola bowl are vegetarian, Okaberry's Acai Bowl is vegan, and the gluten-free carrot cake and basque cheesecake are gluten-free.

Coffee can be made decaf, and milk can be changed to soy, almond or oat.

A cafe by Kusatsu Station where lunch can run straight into the afternoon. In the evening it becomes dinner & wine, with Omi beef and Ibuki salmon by the glass.
