Made with New Zealand's Allpress specialty coffee beans and finely textured milk, our flat white is very smooth and creamy, with the rich aroma and body of the coffee itself.

scenes is one of the few places by Kusatsu Station that offers, under one roof, Oceania style, Allpress flat white, and Omi beef paired with wine — open all day from 8:00 to 22:00. Its character shifts from morning to lunch, cafe time and dinner & wine, and the 2nd-floor terrace, Wi-Fi and power outlets inside niwa+ make a long stay comfortable.

There are 90 seats in total. We can take reservations for up to 80 seated or 100 standing. Seating includes counter seats, sofa seats and an open terrace.

The menu marks vegetarian and vegan dishes. Marinated Olives are vegan, and Avocado on Toast, Wild Salad and Okaberry's Acai Bowl are vegetarian, among others.

Mead is honey wine, said to be the oldest alcoholic drink. We pour mead from Antelope in Yasu, Shiga.

There are several spots worth photographing — the s relief carved into the earthen wall, the paper lantern lighting, the terracotta floor and the tables by the window. In the evening the WINE BAR sign is lit. You can see the interior in the gallery.
